Overview

Ubud Monkey Forest Rice Terrace and Tanah Lot Private Tour, Benefit from pick-up at your hotel at 8:30 AM, and then head to your first stop at a Batuan traditional Balinese house, located 15 kilometers from Denpasar, in the Gianyar regency. You will visit one of the houses where the local people live in and spend their daily life every day. The form of this compound is typical of Balinese architecture — it comprises of several buildings, with the east building being used to make offerings, and the south building used as a kitchen. The west building is commonly used for the parent’s room, and the north building is the children rooms, or used as the place of the offerings. However, Hindu people in Bali island build their family temple in the northeast area of the house, and they make offerings there everyday. You then journey to the rice fields of Ubud. Located at Tegallalang, the area is famous for its beautiful scenery of rice paddies and the traditional subak irrigation system. Get a stunning view of the rice terraces on the slopes of the hills across the valley, and enjoy the cool and breezy climate. At approximately 11:30 AM, visit a coffee plantation to learn about the famous luwak coffee, made from the beans of coffee berries part digested by Asian palm and other civets. Learn how the farmers collect the still-intact beans from the forest floor and clean, roast and grind them just like other coffees. Investigate the full process of making the unusual brew, and get a chance to try some other coffees, tea and cocoa drinks. Purchase some of the unique luwak coffee to try at your leisure. Next, journey to Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Ubud) and gaze in wonder at one of the area’s most prominent monuments. Constructed in a traditional Balinese style, the palace was built during the reign of Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel (1800-1823) and has been well preserved by his heirs. Marvel at the beautiful gardens and the banyan tree that provides shelter from the heat. Continue to Sacred Monkey Forest and discover the home of around 200 monkeys in the forest of Ubud. Believed by the locals to be “God’s Guard of the Dalem Agung Temple,” the long-tailed macaques dwell in certain areas and can often be seen on the roads.  Complete your tour at Tanah Lot Temple, known for its enchanting seaside setting and as a place to see the sunset at the end of the day. Look in wonder at the ancient Hindu shrine, perched in the crashing waves, and watch the sun melt over the horizon. Then, travel you back to your hotel or accommodation in bali island.
